Very welcome Alex. Glad you had better luck than I did. My crocea cliff dived twice and it wasn't even near the edge. I then tried a little clam haven like you did and it decided it didn't like that either and kept attaching itself sideways.

How do u like the gold in person? I've seen em in the stores and they never look like the ones online..lol Im thinkin pictures make em pop more..

 

Depends on the angle you look at also, but this holds true for all clams. The color from the mantle being refracted through the light from the top down is completely different from looking at it through the side of the tank.

 

This gold maxima is hot sauce man, i really like it. He isnt getting fully extended yet but thats understandable for now. I also had to move him to the sandbed on my clam caddy since he was a'jumpin.
