lol i was so tired last night. I got a staghorn hermit (i know) and a black cucumber to eat dirty sand and poop clean sand. I wonder about the hydroid complex of the Staghorn because I have 3 different type of hydroids in my tank that do fine, we will see. I've always been entranced by cool inverts.

UPDATE ON BLACKBEARD: He is active and swimming around the tank, zero aggression from any fish and was chomping down on formula 2 flakes so I think he will be fine from here on out. My poor Carpenter Wrasse is terrified though lol and smashed into the glass tops. Today I need to get those screens done.

Shine toppers look awesome so I am returning the white and getting the dark brown to match my tank. Also I got straps and velcro to finish mounting my controllers. I think I might be able to get some good pics of blackbeard today. Soon he will know I mean food.

Got some projects in the mix.

Finished hanging the straps to velcro my controllers up and it turned out ok. Its not exactly what I wanted it to look like will do for now.

I've had the screen to build my toppers for over a week now so I pretty pretty crumby. My wrasse have never been jumpers, but with the addition of blackbeard my flasher wrasse was pretty freaked out. The Sunday he jumped to flee the wrath of the greatest American Pirate and smashed into the glass tops, and perished. If I hadn't taken a nap and got them done that day he would still be alive.

Anyway got the screens done 2 hours too late and the noise from the overflows is maddening. Researched Durso Standpipes http://www.dursostandpipes.com/ A low and behold for $4.72 my returns will be silent! Unfortunately I need to make up about 5 gallons of saltwater to implement them lol.

Lastly I'm going to use some acrylic and some fancy bending to make my ATO switch/ probe holders tomorrow probably depending on my load. Then I can finish my new RA program, my Radion program, and be done with the guys for a little bit!

    Pictures forthcoming.

Oh you're gonna love the full siphon quiet operation! You should go all PVC while you're at it as well.

I got a simple black Cucumber. He sits about a third buried in the sand, eats and poops out clean sadn. He will slowly move through the tank doing this while growing. It is not a fancy one like the colorful filter feeders. I got it to help keep my sand yuck-free.

Well Blackbeard is officially acclimated as far as I am concerned. He has been feeder-trained, next is hand training, but he is not longer afraid of me or the spot feeder.
