You got an open invite Shin! Cleaning the sump out tonight or tomorrow and redistributing wires, switching carbon for GFO, and finally topping off the biopellets. I think I might build a better fuge for this tank too.

So, as you may have seen I have a issue with red slime algae. A couple weeks ago I noticed every time i messed in my sump my DT got a little cloudy... you know , because it was FULL OF JUNK.

One of the issues was that when I tuned the skimmer I raised it a couple inches by using a few big pieces of eggcrate... that obviously are awesome at trapping JUNK. So last night I drained my sump and pulled out everything, siphoned out the water... which looked like skimmate lol, and built THIS:

At the end of the night I had to shopvac the mud at the bottom (mud like the green/brown crap that builds up in a skimmer) And have a cleaner, healthier tank.

There is a lot of truth in that.

    Nice update.

Whats going on with the 1/2 Fungia, did you do that? Looks like a healthy cut.

No it came like that. i figured at 10 buck it would be fun to see how it grows. Tentacles are purple on both the half-er and the whole.
