    Well been doing a general tidy up. Moved a bit of rock to clear all the sides so cleaning isnt hindered now. Added a alk and nitrate reactor to stabilize the water and finally got round to painting the back of the tank.
    Really happy with the finish and the reflection of the ripple from the surface is really good now ;)
    Not really added anything stock wise, sold on the black suns and the nem that split.

    I will be upgrading in the next few months so I dont really want to spend any more money for now except on the essentials ;) :p

    The corals are looking really good Alfie
    and the tank looks newer now then it did in September

    very clean and tidy IMO
    and so much brighter now you have that blue background

    Alfie, your aquarium looks absolutely amazing. You should be proud of it (as im sure you are). They bright blue is stunning. I may be on my way to get paint soon ;D It definitely makes your tank look so much brighter and the ripple effect is awesome!!!

    Hi all, well its been a while since I posted last. Been a tough time, got made redundant from work and was forced to sell my pride and joy :-[

    After a few months of searching back in work a good company that hopefully is recession proof :confused:

    Anyway I am starting a new build :cheesy:

    Heres the start ;)

    I'm really sorry that you had to sell your other tank. I'm sure that you will have this up and going in no time at all though. :)

    Well with how good the old tank looked I'm sure the 120 will be excellent as well. Seems as though it was a forced upgrade. Looking forward to this build.

    Ok, progress so far, 40lb of live carribsea sand, 80 lb of live rock and a fill up of Ro ;D

    Cycle went quick, all parameters good with Slaifert kits

    Running this setup with a 150w halide and arcadia reef blue led
    1 x 100 w heater
    1 x tmc 1200 skimmer
    1 x eheim return pump
    2 x koralia 4000 lph powerheads


    Introduced
    2 Peppermint shrimps
    1 pistol shrimp
    1 watchman goby
    1 Powder blue tang
    2 black and white clowns

    The rock I purchased had some corals encrusted including a nice colony of green star polyps. Added a few including some polyps and a leather, a small torch and hammer, early days for lps but only a couple of heads so see how they go.

    Sorry to hear you lost your job, but good luck with the new job; hopefully it keeps you for a while.

    The new tank looks nice. I love the aquascape.
