Algae and Snail Id please

    The snail is in our 125 gal. It is quite large and is a dark grey color. My fiance is holding it in one of the pics and in the others the snail is burying itself. It comes out for feeding time and moves quite fast.

    The algae, or I believe it's algae, is a very pretty purple/pink color. It has grown very rapidly and it growing all over our tank is some way or another. Pieces that have broken off are growing into the sand, rocks, and even shells.

    i believe the snail is a Nassarius snail

    they hide in the sand and emerge when they smell food
    good sand stirrers

    Yep the Olive snail looks just like him and the descriptions are spot one. The only bad thing is that he eats other snails, so we won't be able to get more of him for our tank. We were hoping to add some to our 75, but we have a ton of other snails in there. Good thing he's in our 125 all by himself.

    if its hard coralline if soft maybe ogo algae or look up Rosenvingea

    neither of those look like it. Maybe the Rosevingea, but it's brown and my algae is purple/pink.
