Algae and spots on liverock

    What color should healthy algae be on my live rock, plus what r the white curly spots on them, I have grean oranbe and specks of red or maroon but it looks flat and not bushy

    by healthy algae you mean good algae rather than the nuisance stuff

    the specs of red and maroon are probably coralline and are good - within reason, to much is not great but you will learn that as you read more threads

    white curly spots , probably tube worms. fan worms, turnicates - good guys, filter feeders, but again to many and on the front and side glass can be a nuisance

    Orange - possibly encrusting sponge type species

    Green - could be coraline, could be macro - or could be a real nuisance - get some photos posted and you will get more accurate IDs
