    Our tank has been set up for 1 week today. It's progressing fast, we already have the icky brown algae. :eek:

    Fun Fun lol it'll be time for a clean up crew soon. Are you running any kind of reactor with GFO or anything like that?

    I had to look up what that was. We won't put anything extra in the filtration until the cycle is over.

    Granular Ferric Oxcide-used as an absorbent. Generally used in combination with a pump driven reactor.

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Sounds like the typical diatoms, it will resolve when all the silicates are used up. Next expect some Green Hair Algae (GHA).
