so the title basically says it all ive just recently put nori in the tank and he took a few bites but his stomach is completley concave and you can see his lateral line. i have a ton of algae in my tank unfortunatley it must be the wrong kind. i have GHA and im assuming they eat film. any suggestions on what would help out my situation?

They should eat GHA, if it isn't eating it might be stressed or sick. How long have you had it?

I read somewhere that algae blennies (lawnmower blennies) don't eat GHA. They actually do eat the film algae along with the bits of stuff stuck to the algae. It's really hit or miss with them...as I have had one in the past and unfortunately he didn't make it. I did get him to eat prepared foods but it was too late.

Have you tried algae wafers? They might work better, because they sink and stay on the bottom.
