I've had some that eat everything some that eat nothing but algae. It's all in the luck of the draw I suppose.

I have had one in my tank for around a year now he is about 5 inches long very peaceful no problems at all. I would highly reccomend. Mine does't eat anything but the algae he finds on my rocks and glass and I do not really have much algae at all that I can see so I have been trying to supplement his feeding and he is not interested in anything else.
