I'm not sure there's a fish that's going to be guaranteed to eat it for your size tank. If that's the only reason for getting the fish you might consider just getting in there with some elbow grease (stiff toothbrush and some tweezers/forceps) and manually removing it and then hope your snails can keep up with it after that or that your nutrients are low enough to prevent it from coming back.
Adding another fish might just add to the bioload and make it more difficult to control your nutrient levels.

    Tomini tang.
It's the smallest tang, and it is a bristletooth tang as well. They are an algae eating machine.

The biggest I have seen one is 4", and they will take a while to get that big.

I have never acclimated a FW to SW. Can someone point me to some instructions they trust? Please. This idea is neato.

I seriously am considering this... also for my sponge "problem". BUT, I am in talks w/John to try out some sponge zoa's (I'm giving in to my sponge :p) and now have done a 180 and don't want a sponge eater...

Anyway, not decided yet on the dwarf... I may still do this... but that mollie idea is pretty cool

It's not that much. I've had 0 nitrates/phosphates over a year now. I got GHA because I redid the rockwork (messed w/substrate), increased light period (clam), and lost my bi-color blenny all in a very short time period. It was never more than the bi-color could keep up with, I'm just looking to try something else.

Agreed there is no guarantee. I have always had a bi-color to manage what little GHA I would get. So, yes it is the only reason, but it's not like you're thinking ya know? I could get another bi-color and problem solved.. just wanted something different.

Also, I am adding more snails... part of the problem is also this danged flametail is killing my snails! I've seen it with my own eyes, the little brat.

Looks like I will try acclimating molly by exchanging their fw, 1/4 volume at a time with my SW every 30 minutes. little nervous about it. my SG is 1.027 (I like it there).

hopefully will get a chance to try this later today!

I have to Agree with Screwtape on this
If getting the Mollie for only the Reason of the GHA problem the Mollie will not be in any means interested in the GHA it would have Other tank Mates Food and Leftovers to Feast Apon. :)
IME the Mollie is more of a scavenger then anything, You would have to Starve it with no food for it to eat the GHA.
