I just picked up a MJ 1200 and the alge free mod, and holy shizzdiznezzarum, it owns all. I put it in my tank, and all you see it WWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMM and all the crap on rocks and what not gets blasted into water and sucked up by filter. 2100 gph for 40 bux aint that bad..........

If you need flow, pick one of these up, you wont be dissapointed ;)

    Aqua,

I got one of these a few weeks back and agree with you. Nice flow! Question for you though....how do you have it set up in the tank (i.e. location, top/bottom, left/right, etc)? I have a bit of an issue with location, if it is too high it is blowing water from the top of the tank, if it is too low it's blowing sand everywhere!

    Thanks!

i have mine in my top right corner and since its on a ball joint, i have it aimed towards bottom right corner. it i had it too close to the surface, since the flow is so strong, it makes a mini tornado and sucks in air.

I have mine mod on the mj900 wich only gives me 1600 gph due to it not beeing able to run the larger prop but I have it down at the botom corner aimed dead center of the front glass and when I get another it will be aimed the same in the oppisite corner

this gives nice surface movement and little to no sand movement

only problem I have found is with the mounts if you dont get the magnetic mounts the suction cups tend not to hold very well
