    Sure it's algae?
Could be just shedding it's skin. My cabbage is actually doing that right now.

Actually I just waved my algae scrapper above it and it came off. I'm thinking maybe it was shedding and algae formed on that, because I've got an algae bloom. Thanks!

Along the same line of thought I have a pagoda cup coral that was a freebie when I got my BTA he was attached to it it was mostly dead just a skeleton except for a few patches that were alive now fast forward a year and the patched have grown and some have connected to other patches forming blobs of living coral on the skeleton but aroud some of these blobs there is hair algae and I put it in higher current and that took care of most of it but some of the smaller pieces still have a little algae around them. Do you think that impeeds there growth? Is there anything I can do?
Thanks 4 the help as always! D.

You know I was giving this some more thought last night. My theory is that the skin that is pealing off has some nutrients that the algae is feeding on.

Your case is a little different Mason, so the algae is growing on NEW skin?
