Am I the only one that gets some form of green hair algae in between the polyps on the rock on my zoanthid colonies. I was told it is simply from lack of flow to the rock due to the polyp extension. If I took the coral and scrubbed it to remove the algae would I kill the polyps also? I would have to scrub the polyps along with the rock to remove all the hair (bryopsis) algae. The pic is after I moved the colony.
    Thanks,
    Adam

if you keep it submerged in a bucket of water change water while you clean it, you should be OK IME

I do recall having GHA on a clove polyp colony and I used tweezers, to pick stuff off while the colony was in a 2 litre plastic pan. with tweezers I was able to target the GHA while sparing the polyps to much contact
