    Ok. So- I bet this question has been answered a million times but I don't have time to go looking through 3000+ posts to determine what I have.

    I have some serious algae on the back of my nano cube and on the live rocks near the top of my canopy. It is literally like covering the entire back portion of the wall. I remove the algae on the glass by my magnet but I can't really get back on the wall.

    It's green and brown, like most algae I've seen but its growing longer and faster and my Blenny can't keep up! I want it gone but I want to do it some other way than me scrubbing the walls and causing a nitrite and ammonia spike from all the dead algae I would be displacing.

    PLEASE HELP!! :confused::confused::confused::confused:

    You really need to post a pic in order to get an Id, it's probably hair algae but it could be easily something else.

    Mean? I just don't see it. It's a good suggestion and one that comes up very often. "Awarding" negative karma doesn't do much more than create a negative and hostile environment that we try to avoid here at 3Reef. Your question is a very common one and may be ignored be many members because it's been asked so many times before so if you perform a search before asking questions, you'll most likely get more help.

    It's not mean it's just how it is. I tend to get flamed a lot for my feeling on "searching" but from what I have found personally, when I do my own leg work as much as possible as far as searching goes, I tend to learn a lot more, and there are others that agree as well.

    Plus, without a picture, how can anyone even help? Searching might even provide pictures that you can say "hey thats it" to.

    You can take Karma? Can I keep it? Sweet !! Dude I hope you get NUKED for taking Karma from someone for telling you the truth and rules. These people are the nicest that I have seen. Come to the Ambull forum and ask a question and complain about what you get.
