Algae Magic

I know how many of y'all feel about additives but listen here:

I had Green Algae constantly growing on my sand. I tried everything I was told. My phosphates were (are) zero. I used Phosguard anyway. All parameters were in order, temp everything. I reduced my lighting to 4-5 hours (Bought New bulbs). I increased the flow, yada yada yada....

Two people at a LFS (Aquatic life in Stuart, FL.) told me that they personally use Algae Magic with excellent results. Both even said that it doesn't work in every case but in most it does.

So I tried it. Eight days later - NO Green Algae. None.

It is all natural - mostly vitamins and works on the premise of oxygenating the water to the point that the algae doesn't thrive.

Without my GHA infested sand, what will reduce my phosphates/nitrates for me??

 

I don't think so. A water change will though.

 

I like Marc Weiss products! I may give this a try for my dino problem.

 

Tell me if it works.

I like Mark Weiss products, but a lot of people think his products are snake oil.
