Hi! I have green algae just growing on my glass and after I wipe it clean, it reappears within 15 minutes! Hardly any algae growth on LR, inverts do a good job cleaning. I don't remember green algae accumulating this quickly in the past. I tested water params and everything is within range and nitrates/phosphates/ammonia come out to 0. I know green algae is normal but hate having that dull green haze on the glass. I use RO water and do a small water change weekly.

    Am I paranoid?

Fifteen minutes is a bit fast for it to grow back. I am tempted to think that it just being 'masked' by the cleaning and then 'reappears' when it never really left in the first place. Are you using some sort of scrubber (be careful of scratching glass) or running a razor blade down the length and actually watching the algae being cut away?

I am experiencing the same thing as the poster wrote about, I clean the glass (acrylic) and then 15 minutes later it comes right back.
I use a "Magfloat" to clean it and have also used the algae cleaning pad on the stick to remove it. While I am cleaning it off the glass you can see what looks like green dust flowing off the glass as you brush it off. is there anything else I can do that will help.

I have 2 Korilia 4's in the tank blowing on my rocks and my return pump is a Quit One 3000 so I would say I have around 2700gph of flow through the tank.

I also am starting to get what looks to be cyano forming on my rock and sand, not a lot but I would like to get it under control and eradicated as soon as possible. Would a phosban reactor help either of the 2 issues?
