Specifically, you just kill it and it doesn't come back until the next time you import it again.your invader is an obligate hitchhiker, is been well covered on the proof thread

Your invader is a macro algae not bryopsis

It can't come back once removed from the tank until new substrate imports it again

Cyano, microalgae, gha are the ones w get from the air that can reinfest

This is not one of those

The use of Peroxide to treat an invasive algae outbreak is nothing new. It's been around for years. No skepticism here :) However I personally prefer the less (what I consider to be less) invasive use of Kent Tech M. matter of preference is all for Bryopsis Algae :) However on closer inspection of OP's pictures it does indeed look to be an Macro algae. In which case Peroxide may be his best bet.

A Naso Tang in a 9 gallon aquarium??
Manual removal is going to be your best bet with it.While this is not Bryopsis; I had great success ridding my tank of Bryopsis(A.K.A. Devil weed) with Kent Tech M.

    Hello to all,
Its been nearly a month since i began treatment for my algae problem. I decided to take a somwhat natural approach. Ive added two emerald crabs and dosed with magnesium which is now around 1400 ppm. I added a phosphate sock yesterday as well. I have seen limited improvements thus far but hope for better results with the absorbtion of extra phosphates from the water. All other parameters are good. I will update pics in approx 1 week
