So, you can see the amount is almost double the first. The Algae had formed a perfectly "flat" mat of algae over the screen about 3/8" thick. The aggressive growth of algae has subsided a bit within the fish tank as well.

One note though, I'm sure this harvest would have been considerably more if I would have gone through the harvest as instructed which is once a week. This harvest lasted almost 2 weeks and much of the algae had dulled to a yellowish-brown. Under this yellowish-brown layer was a nice deep green layer of algae lodged on the screen.

The smell this time, was an overwhelming scent of bottled Phytoplankton, though as if you had dumped a whole bottle all around my kitchen.

cool - have you noticed a drop in Nitrates and phosphates too?

Have you used a refugium in the past? if so, what are your thoughts on a fuge vs a turf scrubber?

Unfortunately, I screwed up here and was fighting just to get the scrubber up and running just perfect and forgot all about paramenters. A before & after would of been so cool!!
Like I said though, the crazy growth of all kindsa algae has stopped. ;D

As long as the dark stuff is growing, clean every 5 days. Once it's mostly green, clean every 7.

bj, its harder setting the dang thing up!! Once you go through the cleaning and all, you just let it do its thing....."pretty cool" is an under statement!!
