Algae starting up

i was doing like 13 Actinic and 12 hours 10 k.

 

CF lights only last about 6 months. You probably need new bulbs.

 

will they both be toast after 6 months or just the 10 k?

 

Even though its the 10k daylight bulb that's is probably causing most of the algae, you'll need to replace both of them. Maybe start with the 10k then save for the antics. CF bulbs are expensive and don't last very long, that's why they moved away from them to t5's.

 

dang, i might have to look in to the cost of just upgrading the fixture vs. having to get pricey bulbs.
