Hey guys... I just had a major tragedy with my tanks.....

Went on Vacation and my A/C had been turned off. Needless to say the water temps in the tanks got really hot, 95 degrees at least....Killed alot of coral and all my fish. I am totally sick....

Well....I got some coral survivors! But now my rocks are totally covered in algae. I cant believe how fast this crap has taken over. It seems like hair algae but brown, and all the rocks that were white are now also covered in brown. As per some suggestions I did a major water change and did a thorough inspection of the tank to remove any dead fish debris and dead soft coral debris. I also did a very thorough gravel cleaning....but the algae is still on the rocks and on the base of alot of corals. The body of my green clove polyps are totally cover in a brown hair algae, as are the branch corals that alot of fragged softies are attached to.....

So.....How do I get rid of this stuff without hurting the already stressed livestock! I have never seen my tanks sooooo ugly! Any advise would be appreciated.

I would buy a Phosban reactor and remove the phosphates. Lower the amount of hours your light is on too.

get your water parameters back on track, with all the deaths you no doubt have an ammonia spike and cycle ahead of you. get the tank stable and in temp range again, maybe invest in a chiller, etc and buy a new cleanup crew. Reeftopia.com has some great deals right now.
