    The wind farms actually do really well. They take up very little ground space and have a fairly good output. They are very expensive however. Not sure what their cost/output ratio is. Would be an interesting read.

    So I take it you guys don't think these batteries will work? Or are you just bagging on something else? ;D

    The battery part I think is feasible. I passed it onto one of our scientists to get his take on it as well.

    So, why go with algae? it's simple:

    "it keeps growing....and growing....and growing...."

    (think of the marketing blitz fun they could have)

    in all seriousness - its a fascinating topic - definitely a technology i will follow up on as it progresses.

    old shrimp farm, converted to algea farm. biodiesel is there end product. tpwd did the permits a year or two ago, this thing has been in operation for a while. to bad there isnt more of it being done, especially with municipalities waste water. it is done here, but its flowing into manmade freshwater marsh for final treatment, before entering a bayou.
