So I don't have that high of demand for calcium. Did weekly WCs and dosing calcium every 3-4 days. Alk was also not hard to stay on top of. Keep it about 4-4.5 meq/l.

So maybe got a little sloppy. Added a fuge and 40g more capacity. So I didn't do my WCs cause of it. Tested and Ca was ~350 and Alk was 3.5. So I dosed double for a couple days to catch up. Ca now is 450, and Alk is 5.0. I have not dosed Alk for a couple of days. Seachem products.

So question: Could my DSB I put in my fuge be contributing to bringing my numbers up??? I said I tried to catch up, but I really didn't dose all that much. My Alk has never been 5.0.

And... Is my PH too low at 8.2??? My fuge isn't really established, but it does have algae and is on a reverse time. My PH has been pretty stable at 8.2, but it used to stay at 8.3. Should I bring it up? I used to use buffer, might have to go back to it.

PH 8.2 is exactly where you want it. I would be careful at how fast you're changing your params. Some corals and such can be sensitive to these changes. 350 isn't actually that low, but 420 is around where you want to be. I don't think the fuge is what is affecting your alk/cal. Could be the 40g you added to the tank - did you use different salt?

I have always used the same SW from my LFS. The calcium isn't too scary, just never saw my Alk that high and I didn't dose that crazy.

My other problems are that my coraline seems to be in decline. Mt GSP don't come out that much, and my brain is sucked up. The rest of my Corals look normal. The GSP were healthy. My brain expands, but not sure if it is params, or my Clown is just beating it up. So that is why I had some cause for concern.
