Beyond your control really. Many ways it could have happened, and there's not much you could have done once it happened.

Can anyone id this wrasse? It came in doa thanks to fedex being a day and 3 hours late. I need to reorder the fish but don't know what type of flasher wrasse it is because I ordered two different types and I can't tell them apart. Thanks uploadfromtaptalk1359866738512.jpg

Beyond being one of three types of flasher wrasse; no. I'd need to see the dorsal/anal fins for that.

It's either: McCoskers, Yellow-fin, or Carpenters.

Would you be able to id this one then? I ordered a mccoskers and carpenters and I'm thinking the one in this picture that survived is the carpenters wrasse. Sorry about the bad pics.

You're correct; that's a Carpenters in those photos.

Hunter, another ID request. LFS has the following listed as a Filamented Flasher Wrasse. It looks to me like a transitioning Fairy male, but I can't figure out what kind. Can you take a look?

Hopefully the video is clear enough for you.

Quoting myself, since I think I have an ID. Transitioning Whip-fin Fairy. Still like you to confirm of course. If it is, I am guessing this would not work with my 2 existing Lubbocks since Whip-Fins seem to be very aggressive with other Cirrhilabrus (according to you, and every thing I have read about them).

Yeah, it's a Whip Fin. Just leave that one right where you found it. :p

Excuse me Mr. Guru, I have a question. I am closing in on my last fish, a rhomboidalis. Would he present any aggression toward the following mates?

    McCosker's
    Small Anthias Trio
    Potter's Angel
    Foxface
    Blue Spot Jawfish
    Orange Spot Filefish

    Thanks as always.
