All About Reef Safe Wrasses

After thinking about the choices more, I think I have narrowed it down to either C. joanallenae or C. aurantidorsalis. This is based on temperament, size and availability. Looking to see if you have any experience with either and which would be better suited.

Alright, sorry for the late response on this, but let's get down to it:

Glad to hear things worked out well.

I'd definitely stay away from C. adornatus. That one is typically just mean. The others have a chance of being okay, but none are without some risk. C. marjorie and C. joanallenae being the least risky (but still with risk).

Yup; correct understanding. C. rubriventralis or C. joanallenae is essentially the same thing (there's debate if they're genetically different or just regional color morphs of each other, but I digress).

There's a nice bathyphilus (Vanuatu) coming on DD today; that'd be a fair option (and extremely little risk compared to the others we've mentioned). C. aurantidorsalis is one that could work, but for whatever reason can sometimes be short-lived in a closed system (not always though).

No direct experience with either, but I think I've said enough at this point.

PS: most of your potentials are on DD right now.

 

I got the email earlier today that they would be listing a bathyphilus

So I just need to decide between C. bathyphilus & C. joanallenae; I will get the wife involved in this one me thinks...

I hope it was me! My payment went through; would it let more than one person pay?

It was ridiculous; I have never bought through DD, but plenty through DFS. It wouldn't let me sign in with my DFS account, and then I couldn't use the same email address to start a new account! I had to go and create a new email account just to create a DD account!
