I think he was inferring that you fish list is too tough. Scott and whipfins are the most aggressive fairy wrasse.

ya after i read that again i see what he meant. Im good at growing corals, not so good at dealing with fish lol
So far i have had no agression with any of the wrasses all are over 4" in size. Maybe its cause of my tank size they seem to all have their own part of the reef they live in.

So uhhh...... Thats unfortunate. I just got done acclimating my leopard wrasse and put her in the tank, not expecting any issues, and my Melarunus totally started picking on her. By the time I washed out my acclimation box (which i didn't want to do with a leopard) she had gone into the sand.

Good thing I had the LFS feed her a ton of mysis before bagging her up.

Yeah...one of mine went into the sand last Tuesday (4/23) upon introduction, and has not been seen since. Hunter, when should I call off the search party?

The other meleagris is doing great! Eating mysis, cyclops, brine, spirulina pellets, pods...

The problem now is, if the melanurus goes into attack mode every time the leopard emerges again; meaning she'll dive right back into the sand. The death loop, as I like to think of it.

You might need to catch your melanurus for a while now.

3 weeks is nearing the limit. There's still hope.

Update. Just got home from 4 hours of interval medium contact fighting and everybody is now cool. The meleagris is out, everybody is happy and eating mysis. What a good day!

Would it be ok to get a Leopard wrasse as a first fish for a tank? Tank is close to finish cycling and I would like to introduce him first so he can settle down before other fish come in...

I wouldn't; not hardy enough to tolerate the potential mini-cycles you'll likely have.
