I had no clue the Malanarus (sp) hid under the sand. I've had mine for a long time and never knew where he went. Walked up to the tank and saw an eye against the front glass not moving under the Sand and thought something died.. With the poker sand was everywhere and the wrasse shot out and went behind a rock. Oops.

    Reallly, really sorry Marshall. :(

I've lost a couple lately myself: rhomboidalis and the octotaenia. The latter hurt worse, but considering I had the fish for 2 years, it had to be at least 4, probably 5 years old. Simply seemed like old age for him. The rhomboid was a bit more puzzling however; still wasn't full grown and always seemed healthy... No new additions for months either. And I had him about 2.5 years if my recollection is correct.

But onto much better news, I have a very special someone in QT who arrived Saturday. If you follow a certain author on Facebook, you may have seen a picture of him about a month ago. :cheesy:

Thanks Hunter. Sorry to hear your losses as well :( Its amazing how attached you can get even after only a month.

I apparently don't follow said author, so I have nothing to go off of. I know of at least one Cirrhilabrus and one Paracheilinus you have been on the hunt for though. Could you say which genus?
