    yes, frequent water changes will do... but if you dont want to dose anything extra, i would steer clear of IO or reef crystals...

    I always like to do a water change weekly! With all that is depleted through, biological and chemical processes, livestock, carbon and filtration and large bioload, weekly is a good plan.

    a little pricey but I've been liking D-D H2ocean salt. It has checked out to very close to what is written on the pail with all three pails that I have used so far.

    Usually you will see alkilinity additive seperate. There is seachem Reef Complete which has calcium,strontium,magnesium,iodine and other stuff in it.

    best salt out there.

    thats the only salt i use. For my 120G tank. Each 23Kg bucket lasts 6 months.

    Salt is like the oil in a car. If you use generic oil, your will get generic performance
