Just head to the most run down looking lfs you can find and they will surely have majanos and aiptasia to give you. I know of one selling a multi rock with both lol. I'm sure you won't have much trouble getting either. I think I would seek out majanos and do a tank like that one that biocube posted from his zoo trip.

I agree with just getting some simple soft corals at your local lfs. Better yet, check your local forums and someone will probably give you some.

Green star polyp, xenia, mushrooms, anthellia, all are vey simple and beautiful corals. All you need to do is have a timer on your lights and feed your fish. No more care than a fowlr system already takes.

I think the majanos look better than aiptasia, yet Green star polyp, xenia, mushrooms, and anthellia, would trump the list.

Go for it. Get some nice beginner softies for your tank. :) No special lighting/care requirements, aside from the timer for your lights.

+1 one to above, get some xenias and easy corals, let them spread then if the fish pick at them, who cares.

heck i can give you all the aptasia you want. I have had an outbreak and cant get it under control all the sudden.

But honestly if you are even considering keeping corals one day.......take care of the problem early. Dont allow them to take over your tank. There are some people who like the look of aptasia and that is all they want......if that is the case go for it. But yeah there are a LOT of corals you can keep wtih little to no care other than your typical care for fish and basic lighting. So many cool polyps, mushrooms, leathers, pulsating xenia etc to choose from.
