almost got my lionfish on frozen! NEED ADVISE!!!

    ok i have a dwarf zebra lionfish and he will eat ghost shrimp off the feeder tongs i have. He will also chase the krill i put on the tongs but he wont eat it. He acts like hes gonna strike but then he turns around and swim away.
    Does anyone know why he does that? thanks in advance.

    It's like throwing a huge rapala at a big brown. They will sometimes chase, stop, chase, stop.......Eventually, they will slam it with the right enticement. You gotta keep it in the predatory mode enough that it "strikes". Try and make it look real. You gotta keep casting that lure;D. Don't be afraid to mix in live bait to get his wheels turning;).

    How often you feeding him a day..?? It may be full and not wanting to eat.. If thats the case back off feeding for a couple days or so... And try again.... Once his hunger level has climbed a lil bit i am sure it will strike...!!

    i have not fed him for a few days. im going to get a few ghost shrimp today and feed him off the tongs with those (he will take dead ghost shrimp off the tongs) and try to confuse him with a piece of krill right in the middle of the feeding.
