This thread could probably also belong in the coral/ frag section...

I was adding a frag to a rock a few days ago, and while using super glue to glue it down, a bit of extra superglue gel squirted out into a worm shape about an inch long...

It started floating down into the water column, and my two clowns went to look at it up close, and I immediately started banging on the glass to scare them away from it...

Well, not even a second later, my diamond goby pops up and gobbles the whole thing... he does that all the time with about anything floating in the water, and if it's not food, he just spits it out... except this time, he couldn't spit it out... it was stuck inside his mouth, probably gills/throat/ sifting organs, who knows what... he started shaking his head so fast, I've never seen anything like it before. He then tried to get it out looking like he was dry-heaving over and over... this lasted for several hours... he then hid under a rock and didn't come back out for the rest of the night...

The next day, he seemed very agitated, kept trying to spit it out, but obviously something was still stuck in his mouth... he ate food and was sand sifting by the evening, though.

Today, he is behaving as normal as he ever has... can't see any symptoms of stress or agitation...

I wouldn't say it's over yet, but I'm hoping that he'll make it a few days, then a week, then a few weeks... after that, if he's still looking good, I'd say he probably got it out of his system...

Just let this be a lesson... something I had never considered before. :-/

Thanks! this happened 3 days ago... so far, so good.

I feel so bad for him, I was devastated when I saw it happen... I thought I was going to watch him die in front of me... but thankfully, he's been pretty resilient so far...

I know I would feel the same way, glad it appears to be heading in a positive direction.
