    Aloha!

    I have been out of the hobby for about 6 years :(. When I moved to Oahu I ran head first into the extremely strict Hawaii rules and unhelpful Dept of Land and Natural Resources employees...so my interest slowly faded (sorry). Well, I am back!:) Happened in a very strange way. My daughter said one day... Dad, I want a parrot ... one that talks. I said Oh nooooo...what about the cat! It will eat your 1,000 dollar parrot. Her smile faded (I remembered the feeling from deep in my soul). I spontaneously yelled How about a Saltwater Aquarium?...we can do a father/daughter hobby. Her smile came back and she agreed. I went to the computer to start researching the latest and greatest and discovered that the laws are not that strict. Live Rock is available, and the DLNR issued ME an aquarium collection permit :eek:. We are off and running! I look forward to being a member of the family and talking story...
