but i do plan to use it on the new tank, i wish i could use it on my 20 gallon right now, as my filter died on me and i'm stuck using a 10 gallon filter since i don't want to buy a new filter to be only used for a few more months, but i think the filter would be way to strong

yeah that would but you don't want to run the filterfloss. Does way too much to harbor nitrates. You could use it for surface agitation, and running carbon and stuff.

and i'm really digging the price of both the lighting and the skimmer, i can totally afford that, then i would be officially done with my equipment. I'll probably purchase them next week.

yeah all you have to do is look around. Honestly, if you are looking to save money, it's easier to do it online. I do not purchase livestock online most of the time because I would rather see the piece before I buy it.

it's such a relief that i have finally found a lighitng system. I have been doing like 2 weeks worth of research, been on a couple of forums, and there are just so so many different opinions and high prices and really bad brands that you need to watch out for. But i liked the pricing of the one that you found, and same with the skimmer too. Now i just have to actually get the tank, get our house tented which is next weekend, paint my room, pay off the credit card, lol then finally start getting some live rock.

At marco rocks I think it comes out to 2 bucks a lb or something like that shipped. It is dry baserock so it would need to be seeded with a couple lbs of live rock. AFter a month or so it woiuld be hard to tell the difference.
