I have been buying a lot from ebay lately. I have a grow farm that is close enough that I just pay $15 standard UPS shipping and it gets here next day.

Not to hijack the thread, I live on Kennesaw Ave, literally down the street from the park. What LFS do you recommend around here? I've been going to Atlantis Aquarium, and more recently Pets Unlimited as they seem to have better prices.

As far as online, I've ordered pumps and other random supplies from MarineDepot and BulkReefSupply, no complaints so far, much better prices then the 2 LFS I've been too. I'd like to purchase livestock online, but am scared of them being DOA.

my lfs well one, is doing very well because there main bussiness is run tanks for other business like doctors and dentists. they got a 100 new customers last week.

for drygoods you may have to go to a petco or petsmart(starting to stock saltwater stuff). other wise i don't view the shipping cost for live stock as that much, maybe high if you buy everything seperately but your paying for the protection of your product.

Ebay is good. I've bought from piece-of-the-reef several times and have always been happy. Yodaslo is very good for equipment. I didn't like one by the name of thoroughbred_fan though, even though he/she had high feedback. Likes to photoshop their corals :(
Also, a lot of the sponsors here are excellent. I've bought from Tangster and Reef Goddess and have always been pleased.
As for shipping, drsfostersmith.com does not charge shipping by weight, rather by your total purchasing fee. Works really well for buckets of salt ;)

The reason I have lots of feedback is because I don't photoshop my pictures. I don't know what you bought from me but I guarantee that the photo accurately reflects what it looks like in my tank.
