    I know your not supposed to expose any metal to your salt water aquarium but what about aluminum? Got a new idea stuck in my head.

    It will corrode. I would not do it myself. Titanium, Gold, really good stainless, and a couple others will be ok, but for the most part no metal in your tank, if you want your inverts to do well.

    Ya by a long way. Or I could just buy a mini fridge to put in my tank stand and run lines to a sump in there.

    yeah i have heard of people doing that..would that be as efficient as a chiller though?

    A mini fridge will not work. It does not have a large enough compressor to move enough heat.

    The least expensive chiller though is a fan blowing across the water. a gallon of water is 9800 btu's if I remember correctly.

    Good idea. Ill get quote to gold plate the inside of that thing lol.
