    Interesting, maybe the third species is a perc/occy hybrid???

    Whats your opinion Vinny Occie or Perc?

    How big is it? If it small who knows if its big not a perc. Look at colors behind head would be more black on a prec

    The female is maybe 2 inches or so male a little smaller

    You are absolutely right actually.The third species is thought to have come from places were the range of the two species overlap.I tried looking for the study but can't seem to find it at the moment.:-/

    Interesting. They are so similiar it probably does not mean matter all that much to anyone except the scientist. Sometimes you have to wonder how much hybridazation actually occurs in the oceans

    Agreed. I have always just found one that I think looks pretty and buy it.Never really cared which one it was. Its not like the care is any different. It looks like a fine specimen to me.Good luck with it.8)

    Thanks has been healthy and growing since we got the pair back in March. Been feeding NLS pellets and PE mysis, going to start some RODS soon as well can never have too much variety IMO. As you can see there is the blue hippo that gets me tazed from time, damn you for finding that thing!!, and the new addition that I was posting about a bit ago when asking about dwarf angels. So far no picking at corals, although if it gets a taste for soem xenia I am pretty sure its growth would keep up with the feeding of the angel lol.
