Am I making a mistake?

Hey everyone,

I'll get to it quick. I have a 29 gallon regular rectangle sized tank, with 2x39 Acentic and 2x39 Metal Halide lights with 3 LEDS.

I have a Green bubble anemone that has recently moved under my rock because I do not know which one of these lights needs to come on during which times of day, thus producing too much light.


Can someone please tell me what I need to do ASAP? Which lights need to come on during which times of day, and if I need anything during the night?

most people go 12 hrs with actinics , which come on 1st. and then run in conjunction their ho's for 10 hrs. they come on an hour after actinics come on , and go off an hour before the actinics shut off.

 

2x39 metal halide light? typo or what??

 

Do I need the moonlights anywhere?

 

Yes that is a mistake, just realized it

 

if you got them , use them. theyre usually run after the actinics and ho's have shut off. artificially recreating moonlight. and as jz brought up , i think those other 2x39's are ho's and not halides

 

Yeah I know, I meant to type that, sorry.

 

So 7am-7pm - Actinics
8am-6pm - HO's
7pm- the next 7am- moonlights?

 

sounds good yp. the moonlights you dont have to run for the full 12 , you could run them for 8 or so also.
