I would say that the finnex heaters are the way to go. I run a 100 watt on my nano, and it works great. Plus the digital ones have overheat protection built into them, so if the temp sensor senses the tank overheating they automatically stop heating. Also, look into evergrow led lights. They are fairly affordable and have controllers built into them.

Yeah I've realized it's not going to be as long as a wait as I thought really. First I'll start off with the sand then buy some equipment like get the custom sump done then things like the protein skimmer and powerheads and heaters then I can start dismantling my Discus/Angelfish tank :)

But yeah, I'm going to go with 2 Jagers, I have one in my 20g nano and it's extremely durable.

I looked into, They sound good! But since I would have to have multiple ones due to their size I think I might be just as good going with the Razor

I've also just realized I think the Razor is going to be too small for the tank :/ The largest Maxspect do is a 27'' and the 70g length is 60'' so I don't know really. Any ideas?

I'd consider downsizing that skimmer. It's rated for 180-200 gallon tanks. I always oversize a bit on skimmers, but that's a wee bit much. A reef Octopus 4 would work well for you.

as far as lighting goes, a diy led setup would be worth looking into and can be built for much less than if you went with premade fixtures. You could easily do a 48led setup for under 500 bucks easy.

Mmm That's an interesting idea, Would I be able to make it so I could change the settings on it or would it be only 1 Setting? As for the skimmer that seems good only it's a bit more on the expensive side, I might go for it but it would mean spending another 60 for it.

Just going by marinedepot pricing: Reef Octopus 4 is currently $190 Reef Octopus Diablo 8" goes for $429.

Maybe I'm looking at a different skimmer than you are? toss up some links to the one you were looking at.

Wow, I swore I saw that for $120 on MarineDepot... o_O After checking back again you're right! Don't know what I was seeing. Yeah I'll probably go for the Reef Octopus 4.

Bit of an update, As soon as I buy some Equipment and Stock for my little Nano in about 3 Weeks it's onto buying the Sump. I can get a well made one for 150 Euro which seems like a good deal. After I buy the sump I'm going to try get a good Protein Skimmer such as the Reef Octopus 4 & A decent Powerhead, I've been looking around but I can't seem to find any good powerhead for about 200-300, There's the Vortech MP-10, But that's rated for 50g's and the next higher version, The Vortech MP-40 is 450 :/ Bit out of my Price range.
