So i have read on numerous occasions people battling mircobubbles...

Is this just for the aesthetics of the tank? meaning they dont want to see bubbles?

I dont have any, but for the past few days i have been purposely filling my tank with microbubbles by putting a airstone under a mj1200. Completely fills the tank with MB. The reason i did it was just to see how things would respond and to try and bring more of the gun to the surface daily to make my skimmer more efficient. I saw a tank that employed the strategy once.

Just wanted to make sure there wasnt something i was missing on why this would be a bad idea.

My corals seem to really respond to it. As soon as the stone goes on almost all of them put their filter feeders out.

Actually yesterday my bubble coral started shooting white spider web looking stuff out of it...and i do mean shooting, it was wild to watch. I would use a different analogy but it wouldn't be G rated. Is this good or bad? It looks very good today....

AFAIK microbubbles are mostly an aesthetic nuisance but they can be problems depending on what you're keeping. For example some coral and inverts can get bubbles trapped under/within them and it can cause problems/even kill them if they can't find a way to release the trapped air.

I'm guessing the spider silk from the bubble coral was mesenterial filaments, basically its stomach. It can be a stress response as well as a defensive response to a nearby coral or something.

Personally I would try other ways to make your skimmer more efficient. Microbubbles are going to make a mess with salt creep as well as maybe causing problems for some tank inhabitants.
