I have crushed coral and never had any problems maintaining my levels. As Bill said, it is quite the chore to keep clean though. I wish I started with live sand, but to switch mine out now would be quite the undertaking.

I just switched everything over to sand. It looks a million times better. I figured I might as well change it out now before it cycles and everything settles. It might prolong my cycle but I don't mind. I don't plan on buying anything else until sometime next month. Ill just enjoy my pet rocks until then.

Congrats. Shouldn't affect your cycle to any noticeable degree. :)

congrats on getting it changed out! Not an easy undertaking that's for sure but I'm sure you'll be happy you did it now rather than waiting when you've got more livestock and such in it.

I cant stop tinkering with it! I redid my live rocks tonight as well. I also think I should get just a few more live rocks. I also checks my water
    My
    pH 8.0
    Ammonia .25ppm
    Nitrite 0 ppm
    Nitrate 0ppm

My water is crystal clear as well.
I finally got my temp dialed in at 79

    Just a waiting game now

I know the feeling- I rearranged my rocks like 5 times while my current tank was cycling. lol. You could add a few more if you want; some like the minimalist appearance, and it works fine for them.

I really like the look of your scape with the bridge. As Mr. Bill said, you probably could add in a few more pieces. More room for corals :) The sand does look really good!
