so... I have a 72 bow with a K-4 for flow and a 4x54w odyssea light fixture, one 14k bulb is broke but im going to get a new one and eventually swap all the bulbs for API's. all permameters are perfect. what would be easy to keep that 2 false percula clowns would host? I was thinking a BTA or LTA. the tank has been running for 6 months no problems except for a huge diotom outbrake 4 months ago.

How long has the tank been set up? By the sound of it, it is about five or six months old? There are a few rules of thumb here. The first is, wait till your tank is at least a year old before putting an anemone in. The second is, don't put an anemone in at all...no matter what. You need to come to an understanding that if an anemone goes, it will likely try to take your tank with it. If you are willing to take the chance, then I would wait a until the year mark, when your tank is more mature.

Now, if you put an anemone in, you need to be aware they move around. You need to do to your tank what new parents do to their house. Babyproof it.....or in your case....anemone proof it. I had a Condi anemone at one point, I forgot about that powerhead in the back (the intake). Guess what happened. Yep...my anemone found that small 1x2 inch size area in my 90 that would kill it. And it got sucked up......good thing I found it before it died. But it was beyond repair. Both it and the intake went into the trash.

So just be careful with your decision and read up on it. Research. And good luck.

Nope. Clowns breed regardless of whether they have an anemone or not. In fact whether the clowns will even have anything to do with the anemone is hit or miss.

Also unless you have a breeder tank setup the chance of the babies making it in the DT with other fish or inverts is slim to none. They require very special care as young to make it.

An anemone could possibly make your clowns more aggressive. BTAs have a tendency to wander more than some other anemones so be prepared for that if you get one.

And what do you mean by perfect parameters? Many would argue that there is no such thing. Are you testing for alk, mag, ca, and po4 in addition to the standard tests?

I test these more often than the others that you listed so you might want to pick up some more kits.
