    No. High nitrates are a big killer as well. If your calcium, magnesium and alkalinity aren't "just right", everything in the tank will be affected.

    well ya I know nitrates are huge but I mean they dont build their skeletons out of calcium and their not a coral, they live off of light and meaty foods not calcium, alk, mag

    Maybe so but if you have any other inverts in your tank (shrimp, crabs, etc.) and want coralline algae to grow, you will need to keep those levels in check. Also, these elements working together control ph so without monitoring them, your ph levels could be affected which will in turn affect your anemone.
