I have an Aqualife mini115 and I can't seem to get the bubble column to go over and into the cup. The highest it will go is right to the rim and that's about it. Also it's still pretty watery and I no matter how I adjust the flow, it is still watery but just at different heights in the bubble column. Am I supposed to wait a week for it to break in some? It's relatively new seeing how I put it in yesterday

Sounds like it's not broken in yet and that's why it's still very watery (and not making it into the collection cup). It could take a few weeks to break in.

So now I wait for it to break in. Hopefully the tank will be fine while it is breaking in.

It will. Keep in mind, if there isn't much gunk to remove from the water it won't foam up as it should to.

So I noticed that the skimmer started to work and I was getting actual foam instead of a watery mess, but then one of my snails just happened to knock a GSP frag off its rock.. So I stuck my hand down to get it and set it back and looks like the skimmer is back to just bubbling in the bubble column. Is this normal?

yes, give it time to break-in. Patience is the key to everything around here.

Well I'm moving back home for the summer in a few days so I can keep a close eye on it. Gotta get some chaeto in there to help with the nitrates and the little phosphates I'm having.
