Many acros were harmed, and some tears were shed, but we look forward to some brand new acro colonies for cheaper than frags of the same acros at some places.

 

You guys having any problem shipping long distances due to the heat? I've been hesitant to buy anything that requires shipping lately due to heat (and now tropical weather).

 

I am on the same boat as Pastey, here in Texas the weather has been horrible I am a bit worried of shipping anything. Any feedback?

 

Coming out of Michigan it is luckily much cooler here, and in much of the north. We drop off our packages as late as we can so heat is not as much of a issue on our end. Most packages through Fedex spend most there time in route to Memphis Tennessee and than fly to there destination. They are typically only at there destination for the last 1-2 before they can be picked up. If you live in tropical weather it is always better to have us hold your package at a FedEx location near you for pickup. Most packages are available for pickup around 8am and do not see much time in any threatening heat. We of course use cold packs when we feel it is necessary, as well as we have a voluntary program were we frequently send out data loggers to track some of our packages temps in transport. We are by no means perfect, but we are striving to be the best. We have a unbeatable 15 day guarantee on our corals as well as a guarantee against any DOA's. So there is not much to worry about. We use 1.25 to 1.5 thick coolers which help much more than any thinner coolers out there.
During the checkout process you can select "Hold at Location Preferred" as well as days available for shipment. Giving us a couple days available gives us the opportunity to avoid any unnecessary hot days if possible.

Do you guys have a store that's open to the public or is it internet based only? Sometimes pics don't do justice to a coral and I like to actually see what I am buying.

Once the gulf dies down a bit tropical weather-wise, I'll see what you guys have. We've got some crappy weather brewing in the gulf right now. I'm ready for some fall weather.

 

We are open by appointment only. We try to give the most accurate representation as possible in our pictures. We know there are plenty of others doing the opposite, but we feel you should get what you pay for, and we value return customers.
