    Hi I was looking at koralia powerheads on ebay and someone told me that they wouldnt work in Australia because of the voltage, is there anything I can do to make them work in Australia?

    I believe you can just buy the standard travel power adapter.

    Are you sure the guy said I would need a voltage converter or something like that.

    it needs a transformer IMO

    your on 220 - 240 I believe - US is on 110 for standard stuff and only 220 for large item ring mains like cookers, microwaves etc

    I can offer you some Chinese brand options that are good IME - if they can be found in Aus? Sun Sun brand - I now have 3 of these and they are very good - largest is 6000 Litres per hour ( thats 1500 US gallons) but they do smaller one at 3000 litres per hour (750 US gallons)

    also Rishen brand - make some that are compatible with a wave maker - you can plug up to 4 units into the box and the unit alternates between on and off

    Transformer would be required. Just by something made for your voltage. Not worth the extra money.

    those are identical to the Sum Sum brand I mentioned above

    and I am having a good experience with the ones I am using
