Not sure if there is any. I use prime in my water but all the media I have seen for ammonia removal says "Freshwater Only" so I have not had the courage or desire to try.

First of all, have you figured out why you're having ammonia issues?

Well that stinks man! RO should still take out a significant amount of ammonia. Are you getting it from an LFS or just a water machine? If from the LFS, I'd recommend you tell them to replace their membrane!

Have you considered buying distilled water instead while you're waiting on your own RO/DI?

RO shouldn't have any ammonia.....tap water to begin with shouldn't have any ammonia because of EPA standards, let alone RO water.

Distilled is pretty pure stuff though, it's up there with RODI water in terms of purity.

Are you sure its the water? Take some of the new water you use and test it to see what its parameters are.

It could be something else in your tank/setup causing this.

What size tank and bio load do you have? Maybe you need more live rock or something..just shooting in the dark here until we know a little more!
