amount of live rock

    still learning
    i have 30 gal bowfront with 32# live rock
    I'm adding a 29 gal sump do i need to figure live rock for 59 gal now?

    Agreed. You have enough to easily support a FOWLR. As far as I can see, the number of 1lb/g is based on the main tank's stocking parameters. With the added sump, your total volume is increased and the waste is diluted, but the amount of waste remains the same, so the LR will still be able to do the job.
