No pictures but I can promise this did happen

    last night whilst watching Castle
I became aware of 2 things

1 - why doesnt Richard man up and ask Kate out for goodness sake
2 - there was a drip behind me also

the drip behind me was coming from this tank
the water was running out from the silicone at the base of the tank and dripping very rapidly onto the wooden floor

thanfully is just a tank full of rock, sand and water
thus a syphon solved the dripping problem within 20 minutes
as I emptied the tank into the lavatory

looks like I will be starting this one again
    in the near future

    AHHHHHH!!!!!

Good thing you were around when it happened!!!!

Maybe you can re-tweak the experiment now that you have "started" to run it - you might be able to do a few of those "if I were to do it again" ideas!

oh - and I certainly should have added:

"Some things in life are bad
They can really make you mad
Other things just make you swear and curse.
When you're chewing on life's gristle
    Don't grumble, give a whistle
And this'll help things turn out for the best...

And...always look on the bright side of life...
Always look on the light side of life..."

You'll get it going again, Steve. I'm glad you were present for the small leak. It could have been worse.

    B: WHAT DO YOU WANT?
M: Well, I was told outside that...
B: Don't give me that, you snotty-faced heap of parrot droppings!
    M: What?
B: Shut your festering gob, you tit! Your type really makes me puke, you vacuous, coffee-nosed, maloderous, pervert!!!
M: Look, I CAME HERE FOR AN ARGUMENT, I'm not going to just stand...!!
B: OH! Oh, I'm sorry, but this is abuse.
M: Oh, I see, well, that explains it.
B: Ah, yes, you want room 12A. Just along the corridor.
M: Oh. Thank you very much. Sorry.
    B: Not at all.
M: Thank you. (Under his breath) Stupid git!!
    (Walks down the corridor. Knocks.)

    Great point M- Ocean Man
I am making a list of the things I could have done differently
    number 1 on the list

    1) dont have it leaking LOL

I can see my house from up here

In many ways it was a good thing
although, I could have handled this with a combination of a mobile phone and a panicking wife
its great when its only rock sand and water
if it had been the reef, ?

    grown men do cry

    Thanks Larry

    visited the cheese shop yesterday
rather dissapointed in the limited choices they had

Watch the season finale, that will answer some questions (and of course leave some open too!)

Can't wait to see the tank. With the amount of cool leathers and softies now the lure of those is calling to me too!

    emptied old tank completely today
it was a silicone seal issue, by pressing on the sealant, I was able to push water out of the aquarium

it was a bit scratched from previous sand in algae magnet episodes

    so today, a new 48 x 18 x 20 was purchased and cleaned out

rock has been sat split up between
the 6 gallon test tank that was still running with HOB filter
and the 4 test tanks on my carbon experiment
plus the balance in a 5 gallon bucket

so a fresh batch of 50 gallons of salt mix was made in the tank
and 10 hours later, the rock has been put back in, and the cleaned sand added

    here we go again

not aquascapes identical but still a 2 island with low ridge connection type scape

pictures tomorrow when the tank clears

also moved cabinet a further inch away from wall
should be a lot easier now to get the HOB skimmer situated in a couple of months time
