so some might find this funny some will be mad. So this weekend my wife surprised me with a humu humu triggerfish. My wow factor fish as like to refer to him . His name is God. Unfortunately she did not read enough on him and I just didn't have the heart to tell her no as she is quickly coming around to the darkside hehehe . She even said when the time comes in 6 months I can get my 90 gallon. So I came home last night to get the shrimp out so I could trade them in for snails that way I stay clean and they don't become dinner. well to late they were tasty I am assuming as their was about 48 dollars worth in there. now shes made at me cause God ate the shrimp and she loved them.;D well first world problems I guess. had to share with someone I thought it was freaking funny as all get out.

About the only thing you can say at this point is "lesson learned" regarding research (hopefully).

that is a cute story. That is really nice that your wife is getting interested in the hobby! I love triggers, they are such cool fish! I really wish they were reef safe! You know if you get that larger tank, you may be able to keep a blue throat - check the minimum tank size on that one though. Another one of my favorites is hands down the niger trigger. They are so much more colorful in person and love the way they swim!

Your system is too small for a trigger. The 90 would not even be enough. They get almost a foot long.:cry::cry:

well, once she learns a little more, she needs to go with you shopping! Sounds like she's the one that needs to make deals for you :)

Well she has decided on her first tank we have a nice tall 28 gallon hex and she wants a sea horse only tank. What would be the smallest tank to happily house him? Everything i have read was saying 75.
