They are like slugs in a way. They leave a slime trail every where they travel. You can really only see it on the sand. Just watch it real close. If it stops moving and stays withdrawn, starts being blown around or just looks bad take it out. Better safe than sorry.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Looks to be going down hill fast. That looks like mesentery to me, the internal structure of the anemone that provides stability and protection to the internal organs basically. Anyway not good.

And the cloudy stuff is probably the anemone expelling it's zooxanthellae, not good either.

    Poor anemone:cry:

Is this the same one you were asking about the past couple of days that you were trying to stick places, removed from the tank, then put back in?

Anemones move. They're not plants that you stick into the sand or corals that grow on rocks and stay in one place. They pick the place they want to be, you don't. You need to stop trying to stick it places and stop pointing powerheads at it to try to make it move. The more you mess with it, the more likely it's going to die.

I believe someone recommended yesterday that you take it back to the LFS because it's the hardest anemone to keep in a tank, as well.

Please take the advice folks are giving you here!

never removed it, tried to help it a couple times by digging out beneath it and "planting" it as you implied. it picked out a spot after wandering.. now it looks not so good. No I didnt just finish my cycle, yes it was sarcasm, and yes I have an established tank. obviously I dont have a million posts.. but i dont have 20 either.. pull it or not is the question..

    here are a few situations:

    1. Anemone is "pooping"

    2. Cerith Snails emerge from sand and irritating Nem.

    3. Nem trying to Spawn (usually done at night, looks like smoking from mouth)

    4. Chemical Warfare between Corals and/or Nems

    Just a few quick ideas
