I bought a Blue bubble tip Seabe nem last weekend. It has yet found a perm place in my tank to attach. I know It can take a while. I've been baby sitting it so it dosent tumble around the tank to much. My fear is that it will stress or get stuck on its head against a rock or worse. I have a Skunk shrimp who's been picking on it (seemingly popping the bubble tips).

I got it to latch onto two rocks but keeps moving off of them and onto the sand bed where it has nothing to hold onto and gets blown about the tank. I figured it might like the sand bed so I found a nice flat rock and placed in under its foot in the sand so it would attach. It did for a while and seemed to like the spot. I had to reposition my power head so it didn't get blown off again. My powerhead turns off at night. When it turned off the nem had no foothold on the rock just part of the tip had a stick on the rock. The Power head was directing the flow in such a mannor as to keep it on the rock. So I turned the power head back on.

The second rock I placed it on it stayed for the day... I think it ate one of my hermit crabs. (empty shell next to nem while the nem was pooping)
I fed it yesterday while it was on the third rock i place it on. (flat rock in the sand) and it grabbed onto the food (frozen brine). It seemed like it was pooping again so didn't get a chance to eat the shrimp. The Skunk came over and pulled the food away from it.

So my question is am I concerned for no reason or should this guy be ok even if he bumbles around the tank a few more days? And should I keep the powerhead on all the time or assume it should handle different flows?

Here is a link to a video of it on youtube. Blue tip anemone - YouTube (looks healthy to me)

That nem looks extremely bleached. Not good. If it keeps wondering around just let it go. It's going to go where it wants no matter what you do. Don't worry about it getting stuck inbetween rocks, it can get itself out no problem.
Is the foot and tentacles sticky? Mouth gaping? Can't tell from the video.

its not bleached. Its a white nem with bright blue tips. I couldn't tell if it was sticky at all, with the moving I did. I did get stung pretty bad though. It does seem to attach itself. It seems to try to grab the surface with like a suction motion of its foot like fingers coming into a fist. It also uses its underside close to the top to stick to the surfaces.

I did notice when either i moved it or it was tumbling that there was pebbles stuck to its foot. So it could have been sticky.

dont turn off your PH but make sure she does not end up getting sucked into one, if you turn the PH off and she finds a place when you turn them on again she might not like the current and move again. DONT PLACE HER WHERE YOU WANT, let it do its thing, it will hopefully find a place it likes, seabe as far as i know are one of the hardest nems to keep alive. whats your lighting?

There is really no such thing as a healthy white anemone. At the least they have a slight brown tint. Good news is if it has a sticky foot/tentacles and its mouth isn't gaping you still have a chance at successfully keeping it.
What kind of lighting is it under?

Here is my hello thread with my specs. http://www.3reef.com/forums/say-hello/new-member-ct-132372.html
4 bulb T5 HO Lighting with Lunar Leds, 2 atinc and two 10k day

Thats what I figured about the power head. It ran all night last night and it was in the same place this morning. Now I'm not exactly sure its a Seabe it could be a malu nem. The LFS had to recheck the price for me. it was originally listed for $45 but was repriced at $18. I couldn't pass that up. So I dont think they knew what kind it was either. They had it for a little over a week and it was attached to the bottom glass in their tank. Any help with proper ID would be great. See the video posted above.

    I'm almost 100% sure that it's a bleached sebae.

How can I tell to be sure? I'ts almost white semi translucent when inflated and yellow white when deflated. The tips are very vibrent blue. Most photos i see of this species are white or almost white.

    It's definitely a Sebae.
